Here's what's up.

As the lady of the house, I have areas where I'm lacking. I'm not one for cleaning, for example; I usually expect a round of applause for picking up the living room. But cooking is completely different for me. It's probably the element of creativity involved, plus the fact that I can appreciate food more than tidiness. And there's something so therapeutic about cooking. It's so ritualistic, the chopping the vegetables, the sauteing the meat...it's really quite soothing. And when the aroma of garlic or onions take over, it really can make a house feel like a home.

At this point, I'm trying to live healthier, and the challenge of making meals healthy but not boring is one that seemed very daunting. Since beginning to eat healthier, however, it's amazed me how much food that is good for you can still taste good. My goal for dinners is 400 calories or less, though I can't say that rule is always followed.

I don't make up recipes. I've tried, but they never quite work out. So this blog is just our nightly dinners, found on Pinterest mostly. Dustin, my boyfriend, is very objective regarding my cooking, so I'll give you his thoughts as well.

Nothing fancy, just a collection of good food that's good for you. Hope you like it.
